大部分的同學都以為找雅思補習班補雅思很快就可以拿到自己所要的雅思成績，殊不知自己是否能到拿到雅思高分和自己的英文程度高低密不可分，也就是說想要在雅思考試中拿到雅思高分的不二法門就是提升自己的英文程度，不管是雅思留學考試還是托福留學考試都是測試學生的英語語言程度，Andrew老師在他寫的實用雅思策略系列書中的序言和結論中都有提到 ~ 唯有提升自己的英文程度才能拿到雅思高分，學習沒有捷徑，英文程度是累積起來的，以我自己為例，民國82年輔仁大學外文系畢業之後，我到南陽街的美加補習班參加托福語言模擬考測試，當時總分是650分，我拿到了630分，為何考前我沒有參加過任何補習就可以拿到這樣的成績，因為當時那就是我的英文程度所在XD
